Metal-halide perovskites are emerging as a new generation of solution processed semiconducting materials with fantastic optoelectronic properties. Solar cells and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) incorporating these perovskites are rapidly becoming serious contenders to rival the leading technologies. Photovoltaic power conversion efficiencies have jumped from 3% to over 25% in ten years, and the external quantum efficiency of perovskite LEDs (PeLEDs) has increased dramatically from 0.1% to over 20% in the past seven years. Formation of perovskite nanocrystals is one of the best way of enhancing the performance of PeLEDs.
In this talk, we will present our efforts on the development of efficient and large-area PeLEDs with solution-processed nanocrystals including: 1) In-situ formation of perovskite nanocrystals with bulky organoammonium ligands, 2) Surface engineering of the perovskite nanocrystals with minimized traps, 3) Dual trap passivation of both lead and halide-induced traps for PeLEDs with EQE reaching 20.9%, 4) Design of polymerized perovskites with reduced electron-phonon coupling and non-radiative recombination rate, which leads to an EQE of 23.2%. We will then introduce our recent work on large-area fabrication of PeLEDs using blade-coating approach.

肖正國,中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)特任教授,博士生導(dǎo)師。2015 年8月畢業(yè)于美國內(nèi)布拉斯加-林肯大學(xué)材料工程專業(yè),獲博士學(xué)位,師從光電子學(xué)領(lǐng)域?qū)<?/span>Jinsong Huang教授。2015年9月到2018年2月在美國普林斯頓大學(xué)電子工程系從事博士后研究。2018年3月加入中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)物理系。長期致力于新型光電子材料及器件的研究,包括基于有機和雜化鈣鈦礦材料的太陽能電池、光電探測器、LED等。2014年獲國家優(yōu)秀自費留學(xué)生獎;分別于2014年,2015年獲得內(nèi)布拉斯加大學(xué)材料系和工程學(xué)院優(yōu)秀研究助理獎;2015年獲美國材料學(xué)會研究生銀獎。近年來在Nature Materials、Nature Photonics、Nature Communications、Advanced Materials等期刊發(fā)表論文六十多篇,總被引用超過16000次,H-index:44。
